Hazel's first Christmas was a great success. She was showered with gifts from near and far, and really enjoyed opening everything. All the presents were great, but being the bookworm that she is, Hazel preferred reading (and sometimes eating) the cards!

Chistmas Eve at Grandma's and Opa's

On Daddy's side of the family it's traditional to feast and open gifts on Christmas Eve, and Hazel began her first Christmas doing just that.

If I bang one hand into the other it makes a noise. Then I do it again and again, which makes more noise. Then all these big people around me smile, and start doing the same thing. It makes a lot of noise and is sort of weird.

Mommy and Daddy took a break from packing up their house (moving out December 12th!) and took Hazel for a trip to Florida to visit Grandad's place in Niceville. Here are Daddy and Hazel on a beach in Destin.... much warmer than Toronto in December, but still not warm enough for a bikini!!
